Beschreibung

The Moulin de Gouge is a delightful, quiet and relaxing place and we intend to keep it that way. We have updated the facilities of this long-time family residence, but deliberately kept it as French as possible - decor, furniture, sometimes the plumbing .
It's a popular local landmark, President Mitterand stayed and ate here regularly as the locals will delight in telling you; the property belonged to his cousins family for several hundred years. Local people still come to the bridge in front of the house to have their wedding photographs taken in the beautiful setting of the river and its surroundings. The charming lady who sold us the house told us when she handed over the keys, that they were 'the keys to a little corner of heaven', and I have to say that on a beautiful sunny day we find it hard to disagree. With this in mind, we're not running the mill as an hotel, which would spoil the whole ambience of the place, but rather as an 'open house' in the French way, very infor
